December 21, 2021, Montreal - Forum and Crofton Moore announced today the acquisition of Mega Centre Sainte-Foy, a 529,000 square foot retail power centre in Quebec City, Quebec. Mega Centre Sainte-Foy is strategically located at the intersection of Autoroute 40 and Autoroute Duplessis in western Quebec City’s dominant retail node, approximately 2 kilometres from Jean Lesage International Airport.
This dominant open-format retail centre is anchored by Walmart and features a diverse roster of national and regional tenants including Marshalls/HomeSense, Bureau en Gros, Cineplex, Jysk and the Brick. The centre offers an attractive mix of daily needs, home furnishings, financial, entertainment, specialty and fashion retailers to its surrounding neighbourhoods in the western part of Quebec City and beyond.

This property is an enclosed shopping centre centrally located in the well-established borough of LaSalle. Forum Properties and Crofton Moore announced today the acquisition of 11 retail properties in Quebec. This portfolio represents over one million square feet of gross leasable area (GLA). Seven of the properties acquired in the transaction will be managed by Forum Properties and four by Crofton Moore.
The shopping centres acquired serve consumers’ daily needs with strong anchors such as Walmart, IGA, Provigo, Super C (Metro) and Pharmaprix (Shoppers Drug Mart).
“These additional strong retail properties enhance our commitment to provide national, regional and local retailers with the ability to coordinate their leasing and growth strategies,” said Forum founding partner Dean Mendel.

The mandate consists of three properties located at 433, 333 and 99 Chabanel, as well as an adjacent vacant piece of land available for development. As of April 1, 2015, Crofton Moore has begun a new property management mandate: Place 100, a commercial space located on Samson Boulevard in Laval. This 40,000 sq ft community shopping centre offers customers basic conveniences, such as a Jean Coutu pharmacy and a CIBC branch, located at opposite ends of the space.
Crofton Moore has strengthened its portfolio by taking over the management of 9 new addresses in a prestigious area: from 2060 to 2150 de la Montagne Street and from 2045 to 2121 Crescent Street.

Crofton Moore is proud to have taken Silver at the 2012 ICSC Canadian Awards for its Patine-o-fun promotion at Le Boulevard shopping centre, located in the East End of Montreal. Creating an attractive marketing strategy to draw shoppers in during the holidays, Le Boulevard set up an indoor synthetic ice rink and welcomed kids with free skates rental. Skating lessons were also offered on site as well as many other activities: DJ sets, skating with Disney princesses, etc. Thanks to Patine-o-fun, nearly 15% of mall stores reported record sales increases of 20% or more. Also, weekend traffic took off, rising 15%, and the mall sustained an overall 7% increase in traffic throughout the month of December.

It is anticipated the new Wal-Mart store will open by the second quarter of 2013.
The Méga Centre consists of approximately 277,000 square feet of leasable space situated on approximately 19.0 acres, and is home to such leading tenants as Scotia Bank, Bureau en Gros (Staples), the SAQ, Tim Hortons, Brault & Martineau, and L'Oreal. A 100,000 square-foot Rona-owned home improvement store is located adjacent to the property and acts as a secondary anchor, drawing customers to the property.

Crofton Moore is proud to have taken silver at the ICSC Canadian Awards for its Soccer Mania promotion at Le Boulevard shopping centre located in East End Montreal. Conceived to celebrate the great game of soccer while forging stronger ties with its trade area’s ethnic population, Le Boulevard set up a huge big-top tent and presented matches live on giant screens over the course of the 2010 World Cup. Over a 10-day period, 8,000 local shoppers came to the centre to share in the soccer fever.
